I went to Zion National Park while visiting my parents in St. George, Utah. I went to the park with my dear friends from Idaho. Zion National Park is Utah’s first national park and is a place everyone should visit!  In fact, it felt like everyone was visiting!! This park is very crowded in the summer…and did I mention the temperature in the park yet? It was SO hot. SO HOT!!

My skills as a photographer are not quite as developed in landscape photography as I like them to be. I know these pictures only represent a small amount of beauty and grandeur that is in this park. But trust me, this park is absolutely gorgeous and breathing taking!

By the time we arrived at the park, it was early afternoon. Due to the crowds in the summer, you have to shuttle into certain parts of the park and freedom to go places is limited. Our first stop in the park was to hike The Narrows.

To be honest, hiking is not my thing. It just isn’t. Maybe there is a part of me that wants it to be…but really my dream is tour/experience any new place in a golf cart. Let me clear, this hike was not at all challenging…really just walking. But again, not my thing and due the temperatures, I was a bit wiped out by the time we arrived. I sat there for a while, as the rest my crew played in the water and hiked a bit more. Eventually, I found VerRonica and Isaac. We sat, enjoyed the scenery, and VerRonica told Isaac some very real cautionary tales!!

After this hike, we headed back to the car, drove through the tunnel, and headed out to Canyon Overlook trail. Again, hiking is not my thing, I was tired, but I heard the view would be worth the trek. And it was. The views were stunning. I know my pictures do not give justice to the beauty that we witnessed.

It felt like a short and long day in Zion. I am so glad we went. And really anything I do with my crew from Idaho, is a great day. But to spend time with them in such a gorgeous place, created lasting memories!!
